Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).
@3phibotticelli leaves it to Beaver
Thursday was the occasion for the first-ever sitcom night at #NipClub as management, staff and patrons appeared as characters from their favorite comedy shows. @Bea_Bells demonstrated her nursing skills as Hotlips Houlihan from M*A*S*H and @3phibotticelli proved that she can bake as good a chocolate cake as Mrs. Cleaver, while the cast of Night Court turned up at the bar looking suspiciously like the members of #TonkMafia. Gun-totin’ Prudence looked mean, moody and magnificent in The Outlaw, and in a classic piece of type-casting @kingtuttifruiti took over the Charlie Sheen role in Two and a Half Men.

Pals were reminded to get their souvenir avis from #NipClub Tailoring Department ahead of the upcoming weekend trip to Catnip Island Waterpark starting 11 August, and there was great excitement when in was announced that top anipal rock band the Shibbering Cheetos (@ShibberingC) had promised to donate 50 cents for every unique Yes RSVP to the Twtvite. Timelines filled with RTs as pals tweeted the news in the hope of quickly reaching the maximum $100 the Cheetos were offering, and even on a day dominated by the Olympics #NipClub again trended at #1.
@MittenKitty jets in for @SpookyShorty’s pawty
On Saturday, a remarkable collection of vampires, ghosts, wizards, witches, warlocks and other scary entities gathered at Hunyadi Castle in Hunedoara, Romania to cast spells under the full moon and dance the night away to magical music. The spells were mainly aimed at attracting donations to help to pay the bills for @SpookyShorty’s regular vet reviews and medication needed to help to keep his cancer in remission (though a Hogwarts student who preferred to remain anonymous claimed to have overheard a few extra spells for lottery wins, Olympic gold medals and a tall dark handsome stranger being intoned across a bubbling cauldron).
Black Hat tactics: @CheriSwan at #WWpawty
Powerful magic was certainly needed when a group of sorcerers taking the form of scantily-clad ladies with little command of anipal, vampire or even human language appeared at the castle and tried to lure its inhabitants into clicking links which may very well have sent their phones and laptops into a deep sleep for 100 years. Much waving of wands and a ritual involving the magic words “Report for spam” proved powerful enough to deal with the intrusion, however, and the sorcerers quickly disappeared in a puff of smoke. More donations for @SpookyShorty’s fund were conjured up as the evening went on, and witches in need of a new cat competed eagerly to help the fund to reach the magic figure of $650, which would trigger the award of a very special cat-shaped Laurel Burch Collectors Egg. Parents-to-be: @Jackchidoggy and @Millymopmoo
Proud parents-to-be @Jackchidoggy and @Millymopmoo had originally planned to hold their puppy shower on Saturday, but realizing that it would clash with #WWpawty, they generously decided to rearrange it for Sunday instead. Pals arrived from all over the world to congratulate them, bringing gifts and good wishes. A sumptuous tea was provided by @MickeyShortTail, and as guests danced to the music of DJs @kingtuttifruiti and @ShaynaCat, rock band @Feral_Beast called in to join the pawty on their way to their own performance at#FBjam.

Words of advice for Jack and Lola from more experienced parents were plentiful, and Jack was relieved to find that other prospective fathers had been just as nervous as he is. Most of the advice offered could be summed up as “Try not to worry, and have plenty of nip cigars to hand out afterwards!” Gifts included everything from practical items for care of the new puppies to toys for them to play with (the latter eyes longingly by a number of the grown-ups!). Lola confirmed that the big day was expected to be August 19, and she and Jack promised to show pals pictures of the new arrivals as soon as possible.

Korea Dog and Cat Awareness Event
Join @PepiSmartDog on 7 August to bring awareness to Korea’s dogs and cats during a global Twitterthon event from 6 to 8pm ET. Many have heard of the dog meat trade but do not know what is involved or that many of the dogs are stolen pets, still wearing collars and bells. This social media event will help bring awareness to innocent cats and dogs caught in this terrible situation.
Catnip Island
NipClub Monthly
On 11-12 August, #NipClub will be hosting a 24-hour trip to Catnip Island Waterpark. Details of the activities are still being planned, but you can expect a chance to see the wild creatures who inhabit the waterpark as well as a tour of those areas of the island which are open to the public (and maybe one or two which officially aren’t!). There will be boat trips, adventures and the quizzes, music, noms and drinks for which #NipClub’s famous. Pawfleet Academy Graduation
On 15 Aug there will be a #Pawfleet Academy Graduation Celebration for @ScarySmartKitty on #USSCrusher — guests are requested to wear sci-fi avis if possible.

Carnie Pawty
On Friday and Saturday, 17-18 August, @BadAndy_KityKat is hosting his third annual Carnie Pawty, #CPThree—the pawty where the only goal is FUN. There will be thrilling new rides, fortune tellers, a picnic in the park, new carnie games and activities, noiseless fireworks, a few extra surprises and lots and lots of treats. If you want to, you can even bring along your own carnie-themed pics to share. The pawty lasts for 24 hours, from 7 pm ET Friday to 7 pm ET Saturday (midnight Friday to midnight Saturday in UK). All you have to do is get your free tickets at the Carnie Booking Office, and then come dressed in an American-style carnival or circus outfit and be ready for FUN!
