#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I will point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).
The 2012 #TeddyOlympics kicked off after the #TeddyOlympics torch was carried around the world by anipals. The Opening Ceremony started off with lighting the flame, a huge fireworks display and then played host to a fabulous martial arts demonstration by Grand Master Spencer! Olly spun disks on the DJ decks and his Gran caught him playing air guitar! Anipals enjoyed cakes and energy drinks at the Gil’s Teddy Olympics Ice Pub.
Anipals of all kinds, stuffies, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and others can enter the #TeddyOlympics events such as Hugs, Naps, Spawts, and others through 14 July 2012. Instructions for entering can be found at TeddyOlympics.info or at @TeddyOlympics on Twitter.
#GSBR
@Skeeterthetabby was race master for #GSBR the Great Summer Beach Race. Miss #GSBR @DoggyMolly got the race off to a hawt start. The racers had to avoid obstacles like a migration of red crabs, a dangerous Komodo Dragon, giant sand fleas, and sandstorms. Race fans got to have race burgers, bacon beers and other noms, and had a chance to win prizes, services provided by #Nipclub. @Eddiebabycat’s Team Zoomee captured first place. @3Phibotticelli’s team cam in second, and @Mr_Pie’s team came in third. In addition to the awesome racing wins, an apparent miracle amazed all racegoers when @LilyLuWhoT did not end up in twitmo! Many of the race fans stopped in at the Bates Hotel for the night after a long, hot day on the beach, which though it made some nervous, seems to have turned out okay. A great time was had by all.

#TeddyOlympics 30 June -21 July 2012. Hosts @OllyTed, @SpencerTeddy and @MarshallSheldon celebrate the Olympics, fuzzy style, by hosting a #TeddyOlympics (@TeddyOlympics) pawty. Join the hosts as they get things going with their third annual #TeddyOlympics! There will be some fun things to do—jump, jive, wail and maybe even high-step, backstroke, jump hurdles, race around a little track, and maybe even skip to the loo. #NipClub Monthly Pawty, Saturday & Sunday, 14-15 July 2012. Host @NipClub, and the @NCMonthly #Nipclub Monthly head quacker, @GeorgeTheDuck, invite all of you to the big #NipClub Monthly pawty.
