In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I will point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).
#BlogPawsChat Host @BlogPaws welcomed anipals from all four corners of the globe as they tweeted and enjoyed #BlogPawsChat on Tuesday, 29 May 2012. #BlogPawsChat was a great way to see all the animals and humans who are interested in attending @BlogPaws and to host a pre-@BlogPaws gathering. Everyone gathered for this great online chat that informed social media users about all of the great happenings and events taking place during the BlogPaws conference. Everyone learned more about @BlogPaws—finding out that the June 23-24th @BlogPaws conference will open with @TillmanSkates, Norman the Scooter Dog, and @NaturalBalance gathering together to welcome everyone (furry or otherwise) to the great fun event! Everyone who joined in #BlogPawsChat had a great time, interacting with @BlogPaws speakers, learning who would join them as they circle their wagons in Salt Lake City—home to this year’s summer @BlogPaws event. It was a fun time—and if you want to continue the frivolity, as well as the intellectual stimulation of @BlogPaws, make sure you join @BlogPaws as they host a number of pre-BlogPaws conference events: #BlogPawsChats 12 June, 8:00 p.m. EST, USA time, for one hour—as well as a two-hour Twitter #BlogPawty on Tuesday 5 June from 8-10 p.m. EST. #AlfiesStagNight, What a big night it was on Wednesday, 30 May 2012! Anipals joined forces and paws with @AlfieLuvsCassie for his big, blow-out, pre-wedding stag pawty. It didn’t matter if you were big or small, furry or otherwise, anipals gathered together together to enjoy the stag night fun and honor Alfie, who, as of the writing of this column will be wedded to the lovely @Cassie_Spaniel. So, back to this great #AlfiesStagNight pawty, anipals enjoyed a night of festivities at Balmoral Castle, rocking it out to some great tunes and licking their paws after some serious nomming of tasty treats. There were some fun games played—for some of us American blokes, we had fun learning how to play highland games, entered our little untanned knobby knees in a few contests, and even took some sips and enjoyed some mighty fine whiskey tasting! It’s safe to say that anipals had a mighty fine time toasting the handsome @AlfieLuvsCassie—and, all the while helping to spread the word about the wonderful work of Support Dogs, who assist disabled people in the UK. It was a great time and everyone will enjoy reading more about the wedding fun that ensued!

#HenPawty, What’s better to go with #AlfiesStagNight? #HenPawty, that’s what! And, don’t worry, anipals showed up on droves, full of vim and vigor, and joyous love for @Cassie_Spaniel’s big night on Thursday, 31 May 2012. Everyone came to celebrate @Cassie_Spaniel’s upcoming nuptials to @AlfieLuvsCassie—and what big fun, dressed in 1920s-themed attire, joined Cassie on the Orient Express as she waited calmly, with Alfie in sweet anticipation to celebrate their upcoming marriage. Pawty-goers donned their best outfits and rode the Orient Express, stepping back into a more gracious and elegant age of travel. It was a fun time, singing and dancing, and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely as they boarded the train and took a seat in the Bar Car to enjoy some mighty fine “chomp”agne. #HenPawty was a lovely and lavish three-hour journey that departed London’s Victoria Station and arrived in Istanbul, and had a lovely dinner car that featured a lavish five-course meal throughout the journey. It was a great time, so I was told because you know—I’m a guy and well, it was a #HenPawty (but, if you snuck in and made your way around the room in a quite sorta James Bond mode, no one noticed…too much)! In all seriousness, it was a great time and everyone celebrated @Cassie_Spaniel, to help her celebrate her upcoming wedding—and raise awareness of Support Dogs.

#AnipalProm, Friday, 8 June 2012. @NikePurrfektCat is hosting an anipal prom, with a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream theme, from 5 p.m. to midnight EDT. Anipals are invited to find a partner, or two, or come solo, or as a group—don some formal wear, black tie, gowns or cocktail dresses and come and enjoy some food and dancing. Pawty attendees will dine and sway under the stars, smooch in lovely and romantic grottoes—and there will even be a Prom Queen and Prom King event (click here for more info or to nominate anipals for prom queen or king)!
#NipClub Monthly Pawty, Saturday & Sunday, 9-10 June 2012. Host @NipClub, and the @NCMonthly #Nipclub Monthly head quacker, @GeorgeTheDuck, invite all of you to the big #NipClub Monthly pawty.
