#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I will point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).
Well anipals, there were no pawties reported by the deadline, so let’s talk about that. We at @AnipalTimes know pawties and events occur throughout the week, and that most the time the hosts are busy running around creating invitations, securing DJs, working with a chef to finalize the menu. Only one thing is missing from this check list of things to do in order to have a successful pawty or event—notifying me! Remember, if you are hosting a pawty or event, notify me two weeks prior—include your invitation URL, a web or blog site address if one has been created, and a little write-up about the great time soon to be planned! Upcoming #Pawties and Events Remember to see the #Pawty and Events calendar to get more info on some other wonderful events. Get ready for #PetChat, #KeepFits, #NipClub, #CookinWifRabbits and #Purrs4Peace, held on the first Sunday of every month by coordinator @ConfuciusCat and weekly by other anipals (e.g. @ChloeToby) who #Purrs4Peace. Tune in to these entertaining and highly informative weekly shows where you can say “Hi!” to old friends and hopefully make new friends, too.
#TeddyOlympics 30 June -21 July 2012. Hosts @OllyTed, @SpencerTeddy and @MarshallSheldon celebrate the Olympics, fuzzy style, by hosting a #TeddyOlympics (@TeddyOlympics) pawty. Join the hosts as they get things going with their third annual #TeddyOlympics! There will be some fun things to do—jump, jive, wail and maybe even high-step, backstroke, jump hurdles, race around a little track and maybe even skip to the loo. #GSBR 30 June 2012. Host @SkeeterTheTabby is inviting everyone out for a little fun—join him at the Great Summer Beach Race, #GSBR. What is #GSBR, well, it’s a virtual road …er beach race. Pawty goers, get ready to kick up some sand with your dune buggy—vroom vroom! In the spirit of all safe, virtual, race driving, #GSBR will avoid obstacles while having fun zooming along the beach. #GSBR is a great way to use your imagination and have fun. #NipClub Monthly Pawty, Saturday & Sunday, 14-15 July 2012. Host @NipClub, and the @NCMonthly #Nipclub Monthly head quacker, @GeorgeTheDuck, invite all of you to the big #NipClub Monthly pawty. The July #NipClub Monthly theme is “Space Shuttle,” and anipals are invited to dressed all spaced out, and then join in this ginormous Twitter pawty to enjoy, eat and drink some great noms and sips, play games and quizzes to try your hand at one of the great pawty prizes—and in the great @NipClub name to benefit a wonderful animal charity.
