#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I will point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).
#BlogPawsChat The final @BlogPaws event prior to the big Blog Paws conference, was held this past week on Tuesday, 12 June 2012. Host @BlogPaws joined paws with anipals and everyone came together to tweet and participate in #BlogPawsChat. Anipals had a great time at #BlogPawsChat where they learned more about Blog Paws, and used social media to raise awareness of the upcoming conference and to network with @BlogPaws attendees, brands and speakers. #BlogPawsChat was a great way for curious conference lookiloos to chat and learn more about this great event, and to virtually meet all of the animals and humans who will be gathering in person at @BlogPaws, held 21-23 June 2012. #BlogPawsChat was a great way for everyone to pawty online, using social media to spread the “yaps” about the great things occurring during the BlogPaws conference. Some #BlogPawsChat attendees met some great animals and humans and made plans to touch base during the conference once arriving in Salt Lake City—where this year’s summer @BlogPaws event will be held. Yes indeed, it was a really great time—and don’t blink because Blog Paws is just a couple of days away. So if you want to attend the conference, don’t wait, you can still register for the BlogPaws conference and join all the haps in Salt Lake City, Utah!
#OnGPawty#OnGPawty Anipals from everywhere gathered on Saturday, 16 June 2012 to join host @InformedFerret (Manny and Marcuz), from 4-11 p.m. Eastern, USA, for the the third annual Outlaws and Gangsters Pawty. #OnGPawty proved to be a great fun event where anipals gathered to celebrate all that is ferret-ie, and learned a lot about senior ferrets, all while enjoying some great noms and drinks, dancing to some fabulous tunes and playing games for some awesome prizes donated by @GeorgeTheDuck, @DanaPixie, @Whskr and @SnowyWestie. #OnGPawty was a wonderful event and anipals had a great time, and everyone enjoyed dressing up as gangsters to celebrate. #OnGPawty raised awareness for The Hearts of Ohio Ferret Rescue and Association, which helps seniors ferrets; and also, pawty-goers did the same for Skye’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for the rehabilitation of injured wildlife to be returned back into the wild. All together #OnGPawty raised roughly $600 to help ferrets–but never fear, if you where unable to attend the pawty, you can still make a donation here. #OnGPawty ruled the Twitter-net this past Saturday, and was a great time where we all learned a lot about ferrets!
Upcoming #Pawties and Events Remember to see the #Pawty and Events calendar to get more info on some other wonderful events. #TeddyOlympics 30 June -21 July 2012. Hosts @OllyTed, @SpencerTeddy and @MarshallSheldon celebrate the Olympics, fuzzy style, by hosting a #TeddyOlympics (@TeddyOlympics) pawty. Join the hosts as they get things going with their third annual #TeddyOlympics! There will be some fun things to do—jump, jive, wail and maybe even high-step, backstroke, jump hurdles and skip to the loo. The #TeddyOlympics occur over a number of days starting 30 June 2012 and continue on until the closing ceremonies held 21 July 2012. For more information click here or contact @TeddyOlympics.
#GSBR 30 June 2012. Host @SkeeterTheTabby is inviting everyone out for a little fun—join him at the Great Summer Beach Race, #GSBR. What is #GSBR, well, it’s a virtual road …er beach race. Pawty goers, get ready to kick up some sand with your dune buggy—vroom vroom! In the spirit of all safe, virtual, race driving, #GSBR will avoid obstacles while having fun zooming along the beach. #GSBR is a great way to use your imagination and have fun.
