So I have to say we are pretty excited that we live in Salt Lake City, Utah, this month. Why you ask? Because the pet blogging conference BlogPaws is coming to me!
Mom has previously attended BarkWorld but I’ve never been able to go to that or BlogPaws because I’m HUGE and mom would never dare fly me and driving from here to anywhere is just a long way.
Anyway, starting 21 June, I get to attend BlogPaws!
I also get to meet The Anipal Times’ Editing Manager and World News Editor @CheshireK’s human for the first time along with The Anipals Times’ co-founder @CokietheCat’s human and so many others.
Because we’re local, mom and I have been lucky enough to help in some of the behind-the-scenes planning for the event. We’ve offered suggestions on everything from local photographers to charities that might benefit from BlogPaws’ support.
Mom was even interviewed by a local newspaper about the event and wrote an article about pet-friendly restaurant patios that we can all visit during BlogPaws. (Mom is a restaurant critic here in SLC so if anyone attending BlogPaws would like some restaurant suggestions, she’s always happy to make recommendations.)
We’re also excited to attend the pre-conference tweet-up here locally @SquattersPubs Monday evening (18 June). Make sure to join us on Twitter from 6-8 p.m. MT (8-10 p.m. ET) using the hashtag #BlogPaws.
I’m excited to be representing The Anipal Times during all BlogPaws events as well as Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue (where I came from). I’m thrilled that so many pet lovers and pet-related companies are coming to my city.
For that, I extend a big Dane welcome to all of you!

I wish I was going, but you know I hate leaving Hollywood. Mom promised she’d get a pic of you and plush Cokie, though. She’s really hoping she gets to get one of your famous Dane leans in person, so I hope you’re in the mood.

I can certainly lean again your mom and flat Pru. But I’m sad I can’t meet you in the fur.
We live in Utah County so it’s close for us too. Roxy and I are going but Torrey is not a crowd loving dog. I might have the hubs bring her for a little while one afternoon. I am so excited about meeting all my bloggie buddies, and of course learning new blog tricks is great too.
How cool that you’re in the paper. I was too a couple of months ago. TW won’t be there but Plush CK will be with @Seabasscat’s Mom.
