#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I will point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now, let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article (oh, and if you don’t know how to #pawty, don’t worry I got you covered—just read this).

#AAAC Pawty Saturday 19 May 2012. Hosted by @AnipalAwards and @BlogPaws, with pawty planning and all around assistance par excellence from @NipClub, the big event to honor the artistic, divine and even sublime anipal graphic artists rocked the Twitter feed—helping to get everyone’s paws pumping in anticipation of the upcoming BlogPaws. #AAAC was a fun time for anipals to gather and celebrate their artistic side—as well as recognize the talents of their anipal colleagues. Pawty attendees donned their most fanciful avatars and had a fun time all day Saturday, pawtying under the #NipClub hashtag and watching the official #AAAC graphic artist awards ceremonies, held at 2 PM and 5 PM EDT, USA.

According to #AAAC hosts, “One thing the Twitter community is not short of is awesome graphics—yet most of us really aren’t that good at making them. A select few anipals are experts and share their talents with all of us, making us great avatars, fun pictures for our blogs and pawties etc. They make our Twitter anipal community even brighter and more fun. We’re not talking about just having cool pictures and a neat avatar here and there—we are talking about truly amazing works of art!” These great, artistic and fun graphic artist anipals were recognized during the #AAAC awards ceremony—and believe it or not, there were so many, we all felt honored and humbled to be able to set a part a day aside to see and share their fabulous talents. #AAAC was truly a fun time—and a great way to start the countdown to @BlogPaws conference, which is right around the corner 21-23 June 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. #BaboonPawty 2 June 2012. Hosts @BorisKitty, @CheshireK and @PumpkinPuddy are asking anipals to gather together to pawty down and join in some and frivolity. All of the hosts are joining together to put some final touches on #Baboonpawty—and want all of you to know to plan on having a good time with friends and fuzzy, feathery, stuffy, and well, whatever sort of critters, join in the Saturday gathering. #AnipalProm

#AnipalProm 8 June 2012. @NikePurrfektCat is hosting an anipal prom, with a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream theme, from 5 PM to midnight EDT. Anipals are invited to find a partner, or two, or come solo, or as a group—don some formal wear, black tie, gowns or cocktail dresses and come and enjoy some food and dancing. Pawty attendees will dine and sway under the stars, smooch in lovely and romantic grottoes—and there will even be a Prom Queen and Prom King event (click here for more info or to nominate anipals for prom queen or king)!

#NipClub Monthly Pawty, 9-10 June 2012. Host @NipClub, and the @NCMonthly #Nipclub Monthly head quacker, @GeorgeTheDuck, invite all of you to the big #NipClub Monthly pawty. The June #NipClub Monthly theme is “African Safari”,’and anipals are invited to dress up, come out and enjoy, eat and drink some great noms and sips, play games and quizzes to try your hand at one of the great pawty prizes—and in the great @NipClub name to benefit a wonderful animal charity.
