First, a quick note of thanks to @GeorgetheDuck for covering for me while I was out hanging with my band, playing some concerts and seeing the world. @GeorgetheDuck did a pawesome (or would that be quacksome?) job covering the #Pawties and Events–anipals make sure to thank him for continuing to give you the #pawtying haps.  Thanks George and now on to #Pawties and Events!

#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:

#NipClub Everyone joined #Nipclub the 12 – 14 August, landing on Cat Nip Island and then joining friends for some great frivolity. Anipals come from all over the world to see Da Shibbering Cheetos (@ShibberingC) rock it out for #NipClub #pawty goers. This special #NipClub was to help out @IMOM_org. @IMOM_org is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) charity founded in 1998.  IMOM, In Memory of Magic, was founded in memory of Magic, a wonderful little black cat that changed Jacki, the founder of @IMOM_org’s, world. @IMOM_org is focused on “Helping people help pets,” to better the lives of sick, injured and abused companion animals; and is dedicated to ensuring that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged.

Some rockin’ anipals, like @KingTuttiFruiti, @JinJinDoggy, @MariodaCat, @Tresa1215, @GeorgetheDuck, @Blea_glebelle, @MickyShortyTail, @PepiSmartDog, @DuchessCrabtree, @Pandafur, @PetietheCat and the lovely @ShaynaCat, worked to help make #NipClub a fabulous, fun and tasty affair. We all were flown in via private jet, nommed on some tasty treats and sipped some delicious drinks, and were treated to great music and fun entertainment. Why even me and my band, Da Shibbering Cheetos (@ShibberingC), rocked it out and helped raise awareness for #NipClub and the wonderful @IMOM_org animals. The #NipClub #pawty raged for nearly 48 hours and during that time increased @IMOM_org followers and helped raise nearly $300 toward the continued care for the furry Magic family of animals. If you weren’t able to join in the #NipClub fun, no worries, you can still donate to @IMOM_org.  Anipals, you gotta “lub” #NipClub–they #pawty for all the right reasons!

#ATPawty at #BlogPaws Anipals big and small, furry and feathered are invited to join The Anipal Times and BlogPaws on 27 August from 5-10PM Eastern, USA time, as they join forces to bring a real live tweet-up to the #BlogPaws community. Humans and anipals will join The Anipal Times, BlogPaws and Da Shibbering Cheetos (@ShibberingC) at 6pm Eastern, USA, in an in-person tweet-up that collaborates those attending #BlogPaws and anipals already #pawtying on-line at #ATPawty. The #ATPawty will help raise awareness and donations for the The Anipal Times’ current animal charity, Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue (@RMGDRI), where The Anipal Times’ managing editor, @BrutustheDane, was adopted! The theme is Be The Change, tropical attire suggested.
