In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:
#BlogPaws Humans and anipals, well and even animals, from all over came to join @RomeotheCat’s human Caroline Golon for #BlogPaws (@BlogPaws), held in Tysons Corner, VA, USA, 25 – 27 August. #BlogPaws is a conference where online pet bloggers and brands, gather to partner on projects and campaigns, to be educated on social media, and to arrange face-to-face meetings. Blogging anipals, and anyone, furry or otherwise, that wanted to mix and mingle with anipals who blog, made sure to get to #BlogPaws. @AnipalTimes will have a special interview with @RomeotheCat’s human, Caroline, in an upcoming @AnipalTimes article. The event rocked and we want to make sure we allow enough time for everyone to fly or drive back to their homes before we interview them to get all the haps–so keep an eye out and look for all of the juicy #BlogPaws details in our follow-up article!
#ATPawty at #BlogPaws Anipals big and small, furry and feathered, slimy and smooth, gathered on 27 August from 5-10PM Eastern, USA time, to join this real live tweet-up that combined with an online Twitter #pawty by using the #ATPawty hashtag. This was a great event where #BlogPaws attendees were introduced to #Pawties, and how to #Pawty; and joined us anipals already #Pawtying it down on Twitter. The goal of #ATPawty was three fold: introduce the #BlogPaws attendees to our #Pawties, check; raise awareness and donations for the The @AnipalTimes current animal charity, Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue (@RMGDRI), check (oh, hey, by the way, did you know that @RGDRI is where The Anipal Times’ managing editor, @BrutustheDane, was adopted?); and to hang out, meet some new friends and #Pawty like the wild crazy anipals we are, check–check, check, check!
Everyone met up on Twitter and had a great time at this Hawaiian themed #Pawty. Anipals danced with humans, humans nommed with anipals, and well, everyone went a little bit crazy. There were some great noms prepared by @JavatheCat, and some tasty treats prepared by @Flicka47 — my personal favorite was the pupu platter (it’s not spelled like you think!), a tropical taste tempter. DJs played, barktenders served and everyone had a great time. At 6PM #BlogPaws attendees, and @AnipalTimes staff, @CokietheCat, @GeorgetheDuck and @MaggieTKat, welcomed Da Shibbering Cheetos (@ShibberingC) to the #ATPawty stage to help highlight the educational experience for the #BlogPaws folks. While Da Shibbering Cheetos rocked the tunes, the @AnipalTimes staff interacted with them, and provided the #BlogPaws attendees with an orientation on how to #Pawty–it was a great time and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely; and donations to Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue (@RMGDRI) came in throughout the event. #ATPawty rocked the house!

The ceremony takes place at Mia and Lucky’s Adirondack cottage, so make sure you bring your swim suits and suntan lotion or rain slickers–weather is tricky this time of the year.
