Snuffy at the Beach

Snuffy at the Beach

As the summer sun begins to set a little earlier and the nights get a little bit cooler, it’s time to get ready for fall–yes, and even winter. What better way to do this than to pick up the new fall/winter edition of the Fauxgue magazine, launching online on September 1st. The new season’s Fauxgue magazine will dazzle your senses as you flip through its’ pages to take in all the lovely rich photographs, as well as paruse the riveting articles. In order to get a sneak peak of the new Fauxgue magazine, I drive to @SnuffyNorton’s, the CBO (Chief Bear Officer) of the House of Bearmani, beach house.

As I make my way down the boardwalk, out to where @SnuffyNorton is sitting on the beach I hear, “Mattie!” and see @SnuffyNorton waving his little arms and motioning me to join him on his beach blanket. “Oh my friend, I’m so glad you made it!  I have some snacks so we ca nosh and talk.” @SnuffyNorton opened his picnic basket and took out various cheeses and handed me a few pieces to nibble on while we talked. Pouring some sparking water in to a little bowl and pushing it toward me @SnuffyNorton said, “I’m so glad you’ve come to talk to me about Fauxgue. As you know, this season we have some colorful, interesting and fun things showcased in the magazine.”

“Heavens,” @SnuffyNorton said as he dramatically wiped his brow with his picnic napkin, “this time through we learned that with all the workload involved in getting a magazine to publication I have to have strict deadlines, more so than we have previously had. Well,” said @SnuffyNorton, letting out a long breath, “that means letting go and allowing my wonderful writers to have more creative control. And, guess what?” @SnuffyNorton asked me with a happy smile spread across his face, “It worked! The Fauxgue writers are so clever, so creative–they are full of ideas and are the energy behind this season’s edition of Fauxgue!”  The designers and photographers worked together to create a much more streamlined, cleaner cover–course they had a wonderful muse in @ZackRabbit to work with.

Readers, you have got to catch @ZackRabbit’s “Bears All” interview with Haeschen.  Talk about insightful–Zack shares his secrets, his desires, and well, his clothes! Which is an amazing thing considering that @SnuffyNorton has custom designed some of Zack’s more illustrious outfits. “What is Zack going to reveal?” I ask @SnuffyNorton, leaning in closer to capture his response. “I cannot say…that is a mystery that will be revealed today,” @SnuffyNorton gleefully states, “I promised that @ZackRabbit would be able to tell all, on his own time and in his own way, which is best revealed through his interview.” Darn it! I thought maybe @SnuffyNorton would slip up — but, no worries, I’ll just flip open the Fauxgue magazine to @ZackRabbit’s interview and read all about it later, when I’m all snuggled up inside @SnuffyNorton’s beach house.

As we finish the cheese @SnuffyNorton says, “Oh and there are so many other riveting stories from our great writers. This time we made sure to have more submissions by our best writers; and we’ve included some freebees–a pattern and a coloring page. Also, we have a very funny play in  this issue; and an article that highlights a little fuzzy bear, Lippe, as he travels all over the world.” Nice! I always enjoy reading Fauxgue as it has so many different and interesting articles that keep me engaged for hours. Sounds like the fall/winter magazine will be more of the same–great entertainment at a great price (free!).

As we pack up the picnic basket and @SnuffyNorton gathers the beach blankets I ask, “Snuffy, I know you are always participating in some new adventures. Tell me what’s new with Bearmani Fashions, and any other exciting things you have going on.”  “Mattie,” said @SnuffyNorton, “I’ve been so busy with my fashion line–I recently designed a new tent for my little pocket bears, but it can be scaled to accommodate a customer’s wishes–it’s designed to be a one-bear tent which sets it apart from my two bear tent. Also, your @AnipalTimes reporters inspired my new line of reporter-style trench coats; and I plan to add some more sexy robes to my Bearmani line when I get a little time–after Fauxgue is published and I do all of my press interviews.

One other surprise, @SnuffyNorton is becoming a social media tycoon. “I created my newest undertaking, Can Be Social, as a response to social media sites deleting anipals accounts. It has consumed most of my time, bearly giving me time to do more fashions. Can Be Social is where anyone, anipal or human, fuzzy or finned, and, you know, whatever, can chat, store photos, music, videos and much more. I think it is a great tool–it is heart breaking to create a big following, chat with friends, share information only to be deleted and have to try to find your friends all over again. I encourage all of your readers to give it a try!” offered @SnuffyNorton.

@The_BearDoctor

We pick up the picnic basket and make our way back to @SnuffyNorton’s beach house, and I ask Snuffy if there is anyone he’d like to thank–anyone that went above and beyond for the fall/winter Fauxugue. “Doc, The bear doctor,” (found on Twitter at @The_BearDoctor and on Facebook here) offered @SnuffyNorton, “he has been fantastic this issue.”

“@The_BearDoctor is one of Fauxgue’s top writers and we are lucky to have several stories by him this time. I would also like to thank Tweak, who normally is very lazy–but he is doing a few things in this issue. Also, a huge thank you to @ZackRabbit!  Zack not only is served as our cover model for this issue, but he designed the cover.”

With the ocean breezes blowing through our fur and the sand whipping at our feet, we hike back up the rocky coast towards @SnuffyNorton’s beach cabin where we relaxed with a nice glass of cabearnet and read, cover to cover, the newest edition of Fauxgue magazine. I suggest you do the same anipals–snuggle in with some friends, or even by yourself, and read Fauxgue all the way through. Fauxgue is what settles your soul and gets you ready for the colors of fall!
