#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:

#JamaicaPawty  On 28-29 May 2011 anipals from across the globe joined host @BigManLittleBoy to honor and celebrate their anipal friends that have May birthdays. Everyone made their way to #JamaicaPawty, donned in their island best, to dance and have a ball as they celebrated anipals with May birth or gotcha days–@AutumnTheDoxie, @TinyPearlCat, @BigDog_Bear, @OttoTheHotdog and @AMP2, to name a few.  To see the entire list of anipals with May birth or gotcha days, please visit The Anipal Times Birth or Gotcha Day  Calendar; and if you’d like to add your special day to the calendar, please contact @GeorgeTheDuck. #JamaicaPawty was a big hit with lots of happy music, great tasty (num num num) food and drink, as well as a big heaping non-stop supply of fun in the sun. Anipals, dressed in their swimsuits (or not, as the case might be) hit the beach to splash about and soak up some sun. All the anipals with May birth or gotcha days would like to thank @BigManLittleBoy for putting together the #JamaicaPawty–it was a great time!

#SeniorDogsRock  On Saturday 11 June 2011, 11AM-7PM EST join hosts @MaggieTKat, @MoxieDaDoxie and @STLSeniorDog as they host #SeniorDogsRock. @STLSeniorDog (Senior Dog Project) is in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and is operated as an an all volunteer organization that focuses on helping older dogs get adopted. #SeniorDogRocks will be a live tweet-up, for those anipals in the St. Louis area; as well as a fun online Twitter-based #pawty designed to help raise awareness of this great organization. Please make sure you join in the fun–and don’t forget to RSVP here.
