#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:

#PawPawty

#PawPawty During the weekend of 23-24 April, @FrugalDougal welcomed anipals big and small to his big Twitter pawty, #PawPawty, the grand-daddy of all anipal #pawties.  This month’s #PawPawty served as a perfect excuse to celebrate the Royal Wedding! While @FrugalDougal always has #PawPawty serve as a big, racaus, fun event; this month’s #pawty helped funds for Animal House Shelter, a great no-kill shelter located Huntley, Illinois USA.  Animal House Shelter, Inc. rescues abused and neglected dogs and cats and rehabilitates them mentally and physically in order to place them with loving, happy and joyously grateful adoptive families. 98% of their rescue dogs come from high ‘kill’ shelters, pounds and various animal control facilities in which they are usually listed as strays, and almost always scheduled to be euthanized (like me before my parents found me — so make sure you check em out!).

Anipals from every corner of the planet joined together, got all shiny and cleaned and were ready to shine at this month’s #PawPawty! We all joined paws, raised awareness for a great cause, and had a fabulous time.  We ate and drank royal noms, and shimmied and shook our “rumpuses” to great tunes! Heck, I even danced with a “human!”  Yipeez and fun! #Pawpawty is such a great time and allows for all of us to come together, let our fur down, and have a great time!
