Fall/Winter 2010 cover

This week I am at Fashion Week, in New York City, with @SnuffyNorton to celebrate the publication of the second edition of Fauxgue magazine! Remember, you will only find Fauxgue online as @SnuffyNorton, a fierce fashionista, is committed to a “no trees will be hurt in the printing of Fauxgue” philosophy. I wait patiently to meet with Snuffy while he and his pal, Victoria Beckham, select models lucky enough to strut their stuff in Bearmani designs during the Fashion Week. As the models send @SnuffyNorton ‘air-kisses,’ he settles in next to me to share in a plate of tapas and “flip” through the online pages of Fauxgue.

The second edition of Fauxgue is pure glamour and reflects @SnuffyNorton’s commitment to helping all anipals live a life of luxury. When I asked @SnuffyNorton to tell me what he learned from the inaugural edition of Fauxgue, he said “We learned a lot since our launch! We had earlier deadlines which allowed me to edit Fauxgue so that our readers have a more rewarding experience–the layout is crisp and our patrons will quickly be engrossed in the clever style and wit of our dedicated writers.”

As @SnuffyNorton and I finished our tapas and sipped a glass of ‘meow-low,’ I asked him what’s in store for the future of Fauxgue. “Well,” he said, “creating an online magazine really speaks to me. For the next edition I’m interested in collaborating with more writers, photographers and even perhaps,” @SnuffyNorton paused and rested his fuzzy paw dramatically on his forehead,” interviewing for a volunteer assistant—I’m much too glorious to work this hard!”

We shared a good laugh, put on our sunglasses and headed out in to the fast pace of New York City.

contest prize

While we waited together for a cab, I asked @SnuffyNorton if there was anything else he’d like our readers to know about Fauxgue. “Yes, we are hosting a wonderful contest, where readers can submit their ideas for our Spring 2011 cover! We’ll select a winner, who will enjoy all the glamour associated with designing for a fashion magazine, and this wonderful Bearmani mohair pocket bear!”

Go ahead and get your free copy of Fauxgue from your neighborhood (virtual) newsstand! You’ll truly be inspired by the wonderful visuals and the great articles that range from fashion, dating, advice, beauty tips, food, sports, literary reviews, philanthropy and a whole lot more. While this one-of-a-kind magazine is written by, for and about stuffed animals, clearly everyone, including two-leggers, will find it enlightening and entertaining. If you are interested in lending your talents to this creative online magazine, please send a tweet to @SnuffyNorton.

Excellent magazine no anipal should be without! Can recommend it as a fascinating read – & if you know a stuffed animal who’d look good in Bearmani fashions (& who wouldn’t?) do please refer them & their humans to this informative and stylish publication. They’ll thank you for it.
