#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:
#StripeyPawty was hosted by @HollieCatRocks, @SamtheCatRocks, @HerGracetheCat and @PetietheCat, Friday, 6 August 2010, 4-9pm EDT, at the Wedgewood Hotel, to celebrate @ThatStripeyCat and @Wildboutbirds upcoming 2 September 2010 marriage. Ladies attending this event enjoyed a lovely shower filled with complimentary massages and pedicures in the spa area, while men #pawtied it up at the Bacchus Restaurant and Lounge playing pool, cigar smoking, drinking and maybe some other “nawty” stag events. @Herbie_Cat organized all the scrumptious food, with a special menu for the occasion. This very delightful event had wonderful musical talent, including the Shibbering Cheetos who wanted to honor the “almost” bride and groom by donating their time in order to help create awareness of the World Society for the Protection of Animals, their house charity. A wild time was had by all, and if you where there, well, I don’t have to tell you — the soon-to-be bride and groom shook their groove things well in to the night, see I have proof!

#PawPawty This month’s #PawPawty, hosted by @FrugalDougal, on 7-8 August 2010, rocked Twitter loud and proud, welcoming old and new friends alike to join in the fun. All anipals enjoyed themselves immensely, nibbling on some fabulous tasty treats, created by @JavatheCat, special for this Tropical Pawadise #Pawty. This month’s #PawPawty event was crazy, anipals. Bikini clad cuties and muscle bound he-men littered the beach. All the cute anipals went crazy, boogieing the night away while listening to Don Ho music and swaying to-and-fro clad in beautiful grass skirts. My eyeballs need a rest after takin in all da “hawt” bodies.
The August #PawPawty was a great event that, to date, raised nearly $1,100 for Second Chance Pet Adoptions in North Carolina. “Homelessness strikes everyone, including animals, and that is what Second Chance is all about!” said @FrugalDougal. Second Chance’s mission is to help the homeless cats and dogs in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. Does helping homeless animals inspire you to make a difference? Well, don’t fret! If you are able to make a donations, please do so thru @RomeotheCat’s Second Chance #PawPawty donation site or contact Second Chance directly.
