#Pawties and Events are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time. In their tweets they use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty or #(event name). #Pawties and Events is where you will find out about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and where I point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar. Remember to check out the calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals. Now let’s read about some of the #pawties and events that happened by the deadline for this article:
#PinkPJPawty
The Pink Pups hosted the pink-a-licious #PinkPJPawty on Saturday 28 August 2010. Who are The Pink Pups you ask? Well, The Pink Pups, as described by the Queen Pink Pup, @Niqqi, the most pink-erific little doggy on the planet, ‘is a club comprised of the cutest, smartest and pinkest anipals on Twitter!’ No, you don’t have to be a female to join The Pink Pups — real men wear pink! The Pink Pups really went all out for the #PinkPJPawty, with a number of fun events to celebrate @PrincessGwenie and @MisterSnoop’s birthdays. Pawty goers donned all sorts of pink: pink PJs, pink suits, pink dresses, pink shoes and some came with pink hair. All #PinkPJPawty attendees were greeted at the door by @Niqqi, @MissBusyBiz or one of the other Pink Pups, and given a pink goody-bag full of great things including a full bottle of Pink Pup ‘Pink’ to drink. Active ingredients in ‘Pink’ include fun, giggles, BOLS, MOLS, joy, happiness and laughter; and came with this warning: ‘It may cause you to laugh so hard, you may pee in your pants.’ I drank mine slowly and it still had the same effect on me — laughter, joy and a desire to lose my stink and turn real pink! #PinkPJPawty offered games like Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Squirrel and offered attendees a chance to get ‘Hello Kitty’ tattoos and pedicures. #PinkPJPawty hit just the right spot during these, the dog-days of summer, offering great food, fun and music. Everyone who attended had a great time pawtying in to the night; and while they might have woke up on Sunday morning with bloodshot eyes–well, that sorta fits with the pink of #PinkPJPawty. 9-11 September: #BlogPaws West is coming to Denver, CO, USA. 11 September: #LexisBurfdee will be rocking Twitter-land 7-Midnight PM UK/2-7pm USA EDT. Hostess @Dogstoyevsky (Lexi) invites all anipals to join her on a motor yacht, Atlantis, for a cruise around the Caribbean, in celebration of her 6th birthday. Dig out your cruise attire and come wish our good friend Lexi a glorious birthday. Remember to RSVP so that Lexi can order the right amount of noms and drinks!
