The Darkest Evening of the Year is a fictional thriller by Dean Koontz. Humans: don’t read dis book if ewe are home alone, cuz it’s furry spooky! Da main characters are a human named Amy, her two doggies, and a mysterious rescue dog named Nickie.

Amy and her two doggies bond quickly wiff Nickie. She seems special somehow to efurryone who meets her. It begins to seem as though bad people are after Amy and her past is catching up wiff her. Or is it Brian’s past catching up wiff him?

Amy and Brian try to figure out who is after dem and try to make sure dat no one else, including their doggies, get hurt. Did Amy rescue Nickie fur a greater reason? How can Nickie help dem survive? Read dis book to find out!

I agree with Pandafur – we love Dean Koontz. I think sometimes he gets his dog to write parts of his books. He sure knows how we think!

M remembers reading one years ago and she didn’t like it. Said maybe she should try one again. If this is about dog rescue program, maybe it be better then the first one she read.
