@kyba and @ZackRabbit starting their adventure
Today, we are interviewing Huntyr, @kyba, global explorer of the Anipal Kingdom.
www.twitteranipals.com was quite an undertaking! What made you think of such a fun idea?
I said to momma that I wondered where everyone lives. She said we can make a map and mark it, with each anipal picture. So we started asking for a pic and location. It was going to be a simple project. Soon emails started coming with lots of pics. Momma was so fascinated, she changed her original plan and started on a new project. Soon there was 50 anipals and she had to change her mind again. I know she was frustrated and not happy with what she was doing. I gave her lots of licks and cuddles and sent her to bed.
She woke up in middle of night and came running down the stairs with a brainstorm. I didn’t really know brains can storm but the final template was made and she was working and smiling.
I remember when you and Zack had your special adventure. Was that sort of a jumping off place to the whole Anipal World Trip idea?
No, not really, but everyone kept saying they wanted to be in a story…so an idea began to form.
It was very thoughtful of you to include play breaks and nommms on the trip. What made you think of that?
I was proud of momma to think of that. It was fun huh? It kinda broke up the routine of pictures and gave a stopping point in the reading. It was a long trip.
You did a great job of personalizing the various anipal interactions. You included my Birken bag on my little red wagon. *holds up Birken bag with @cheddums inside* Did you find that you laughed a lot as you did this trip and met with various anipals?
Oh yes, I could always tell when momma found a new idea to use on a new anipal. She would be so proud of herself and work for hours till she got the idea completed. She wishes she could have done a special page for each anipal but between all the organizations and stuff she is involved with, there wasn’t enough time…
What was the most fun anipal adventure you had while on the anipal world tour?
Ohhh I hate to have to pick between any anipals but if I had to, I would go visit @ollyted in Ireland or J&J (@zepher4) in Wales in the castle… but really there is no place like home and there is so much to see in the USA that I have never seen. This trip allowed me to see/learn so much around the world!
Were there any parts of the anipal world tour that were a HUGE amount of work or that surprised you by being way more exciting than you expected?
The wagons! It was so much work to find pics of each anipal then get them to fit in the wagon…then put the wagons in order on each page. Did you notice they were in order as we visited them?
I think anipals are generally very nice. You didn’t have to kick anyone out of their little red wagon, did you?
Nope no problems at all. Even I didn’t chase any kitties or rodents, or look to see if any stuffed bears had squeakers or not… (not to say the JRT in me didn’t want to BOL)
How long did it take for you and your mom to gather all the information, set up a website, and put the whole story together?
We spammed the idea for 60 days. Lost one good twitter friend over the spamming. Then spent 30 days finalizing it. Momma worked on it day and night. As each email came in, momma made the wagons but couldn’t do much more till we knew how many were traveling with us and put them in order.
Do you think you will do other anipal projects like this again?
Momma said yes…she just needs a good idea that others would enjoy and participate in.
What else would you like to add?
One of the best ideas momma had was the comment box at the bottom of each page. She hoped and prayed the anipals would use them and add comments. She says other anipals are much more clever than us and figured it would make the pages a bit more interactive. It appears she was correct.
This was ten times bigger project than it originally started out to be but momma says she enjoyed it a lot. There is nothing like our anipal friends from ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!
*puckers* SMOOOOOOOOOOOOCH!!! Thank you for your time Huntyr! And a smoooooch for your mom too!

It makes me sad you lost a friend during the recruiting for the trip. The finished product was so fun and brought joy to so many anipals!
I’m soo happy you featured the Around The World Anipal Trip in your newspaper. Huntyr and his mama did a FANTASTIC job of putting it together. I recommend everyone take a look at it. I do hope the do another project – I would certainly participate in it. It was fun.
