“HOW MANY TIMES has the fate of a man, or even a nation, hung from the collar of a dog?” Haff ewe ever wondered this? If so, read The Pawprints of History by Stanley Coren. ‘Dis book is about notable humans and events in world history and how anipals helped shape ‘dem.
Did ewe know ‘dat Alexander Pope’s life was saved by his pet Great Dane? Or ‘dat Florence Nightingale’s first patient was a neighbor’s wounded dog? Or ‘dat Charles I lost da the British Revolution in part because of a dog? Read ‘dis book for more interesting facts like ‘dese!
Mai mom and I really enjoyed reading about impawtent people like Dr. Freud and da Dalai Lama and how much ‘dey loved ‘der doggies. Operas haff even been written about anipals. Creatively and physically, da world would be a different place if it weren’t fur us!
I giff ‘dis book three tail wags. I would haff given it four, but it gets a lil wordy at times. Don’t get me wrong, it is a furry good book but it took a while to read! Still, it was full of good information ‘dat mai mom can’t wait to bweak out at cocktail parties! BOL!
