#Pawty Behind the Scenes

written by MattieDog in the Social Events section of The Anipal Times

Since you’ve read my prior #pawty articles and know about The Anipal Times Events & Pawty Calendar, I’m going to introduce you to a few of the anipals behind the #pawty scenes and let you know how you can get involved in #pawtying.  #Pawty Behind the Scenes is a two part article, with the first part dedicated to introducing you to some anipals who give their time so you can #pawty like, well, like an anipal. The second part will be a more in-depth interview with the various #pawty “royalty.” So without further ado, let’s introduce you to some of the #pawty anipals that help rock the Twitterverse!

#PawPawty

#pawpawty @frugaldougal

@Frugaldougal, #PawPawty founder, is the most renowned #pawty anipal on Twitter.  #PawPawty is the senior anipal gathering found on Twitter, and is therefore the “granddaddy” of #pawties.  #PawPawty is a virtual #pawty held every month where anipals gather to socialize and raise money for anipal charities.

#PawPawty has #pawty themed food (called “noms”) and drinks created by @JavaTheCat, @MizzBassie and @JazzydaCat, with @GeorgeTheDuck serving as senior bartender (called “barktender”).  @Snick_the_Dog, head of “Sekurity,” helps lead a team of anipals dedicated to assisting #pawty newcomers, keeping out spammers, and finding lost pals at #PawPawty. They are always in uniform so they are easy to spot.  What would a #pawty be without music? @FergustheDog is the anipal that coordinates all the #PawPawty DJs, an important part of the #pawty as these anipals help set the tone of #PawPawty and keep things jumpin. #PawPawty is a monthly Twitter #pawty, so please check out their website and join in the fun!

#Dudefest

#Dudefest @brutusthedane

#Dudefest @brutusthedane

@BrutustheDane hosts #DudeFest, where a bunch of the anipals gather to (and pardon me here) toot, tell jokes, smoke cigars, and well, honor all things dude-like!  #Dudefest started out relatively innocently, on a Twitterverse camping trip for a few of the male anipals and has matured to a more frequent and well planned event where all anipals, regardless of gender, join to celebrate manly men (anipals) while also raising funds for anipal-related charities.

“You Name It” #Pawties

@niqqi #Pawty Queen@Niqqi is the producer behind “you name it” #Pawties!  Other anipals come to Niqqi and share their ideas of new and different #pawty ideas and “voila” Niqqi and her staff make it happen.  Niqqi’s #pawties are always different with a few important similarities: they are a fun and adventurous time where anipals gather together to enjoy themselves while solving problems and rescuing anipals that find themselves in harmless, virtual Twitter-based, distress.  The underlying goal of Niqqi’s #pawties is to create an atmosphere that fosters interactive, fun team work amongst the anipal community!

Did I Miss Your #Pawty? These are but a few of the anipal-based #pawties you can find on Twitter.  Over the month of May we will take a more in-depth look at #pawties and the founders of these and various other #pawty events.  If you host a #pawty and would like to be included in the #Pawty Behind the Scenes articles, please contact me, on twitter @Mattiedog or at mattiedog AT anipaltimes DOT com.  In the mean time, keep on #pawtying anipals!

Great article, Mattie – I hadn’t realised just how many anipals are involved in organizing #Pawties! Looking forward to Part 2. :-)
