welcome to this new venture called The Anipal Times. this online newspaper is dedicated to all the anipals in the twitterverse and was inspired by the hard work of our pal frugal dougal who brought the anipals together to do good when he created monthly PawPawties. the PawPawties, and similar events which followed them, have created and fostered a real sense of community. thank you dougal!

we believe that a community needs a newspaper. what is a community without somewhere to share information, find out about events, and read news that affects everyone?  The Anipal Times intends to fill that need for our community.

how did this project come about? well snickers was talking to a new anipal, HOOTe CAT, at the #pawpawty in february. HOOTe CAT wanted to know if there was a reporter for pawpawties. this got snick to thinking ’bout how cool it would be to have an anipal newspaper. he said “mom, make me a newspaper,” and, like pretty much everything else he asks for, she did what she was told. now this got HOOTe CAT so excited that he recruited Cokie the Cat and boy did everything kind of go explodey from there! now we haz all these writers and editors and advertisers and, well, hopefully READERS as well.

in case you are wondering what is an anipal, we haz the answer. well, we haz lost of answers! that question came up a lot during the past month. we polled our friends and here are some of the answers we received.

spring is the perfect time to start a new adventure. we hope The Anipal Times will represent the best of the anipal community and provide a welcome and healthy break from the stress and pressure of everyday life — for us and for the humans we love. so sit back, relax, and enjoy The Anipal Times… with or without pants.
