#Pawty #Pawty Everywhere

Now you have no excuse to miss a #Pawty because this column is where we tell you about the #Pawties taking place on Twitter and point you to the official The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar.  Remember to check out the #Pawty Calendar so that you can find the dates and times to mix and mingle with anipals on Twitter.  #Pawties are where anipals and humans get together for a Twitterin’ good time, and use an introductory hashtag (#) so everyone who wants to join in the fun can easily find them by searching Twitter for #(fill in the blank) pawty.  Now that you know how to get your #Pawty groove on, let’s chat about some of the more recent #pawties held on Twitter!

#ATPawty, April 3, 2010 in (Twitter-land) NYC, USA, was a rockin’ event!  The #ATPawty, hosted by SnicktheDog and CokietheCat, was the launch for The Anipal Times paper and had some rocking tunes by the Shibbering Cheetos.  Anipals were asked to come to the #ATPawty under the pretense of an April third (hence AT) loft #Pawty, but Snick and Cokie had something good up their sleeves (do anipals have sleeves?) and surprised their guests by unveiling The Anipal Times online!  Twitter-land went crazy and anipals everywhere were stomping their paws and rejoicing because they finally have their own paper…. but remember anipals, “dis paper not for peeing on!”

#ReadPawty

#ReadPawty Anipal Book Club premiered April 6, 2010, to great success as many anipals Tweeted about books!  #ReadPawty settled on four books to review and will make a final selection soon.  #ReadPawty, as described by founder MaggieTKat is to learn what anipals like to read, get book suggestions and keep a list of anipal-related books. #ReadPawty is spontaneous, “it might be difficult to ask everyone to read the same book every month, but I hope some anipals will read the same book and discuss it,” said Maggie.  Everyone is welcome to #ReadPawty on Twitter 7 pm EDT, 1st Tuesday of the month.  See MaggieTKat’s blog for updates or email her with ideas or questions.

#Area51 Landed April 11, 2010, and anipals everywhere, and even some from elsewhere, had a fantastic time! Hosts Niqqi and SmokeyPoodle sent out a pre#Pawty video to give clues and assignments to help free DoggaXT (a.k.a. Laika) and so that there were no alien abductions (well, maybe a few).  Anipals were treated to an out-of-this-world experience watching Robodogg’s spaceship land, and then were given tasks that sent them Twittering about in space, meeting aliens from other planets and noshing on space food.  It was a great time, and all anipals are reported safely back to their home planets.

Upcoming Pawties! Don’t forget to check The Anipal Times #Pawty & Events Calendar for all the #pawty information.  April 17th will be the #CarniePawty. The BlogPawsPawty has been rescheduled for April 21st, and the #PawPawty is on April 24th.

Dear Henry,

We really like your column, it’s so interesting! Funny too. My sides quite literally split wide open and my intestines fell out on the carpet. Mum was very cross I can tell yoo!
I sometimes write some poetry, would you like to see my latest poem? I wrote it this morning so nobody’s seen it yet, you’re the first. It’s short and sweet, like me, so won’t take up too much of your time:

Mad March hares are a well known phenomena
But daft April deer are much more commoner.

I was inspired to write that because there are so many deer where I live (at an undisclosed location) and lots have sadly been run over. I will write to you again if you like, keep up the good work Henry!

Love from Gispee Gerl and Tinky aswel

P.S. When is a party not a party? When you’re not in the same room together.
P.P.S. I am writing this with the aid of my little sister, who’s called Tinky and she’s beautiful and she doesn’t have a face that looks like a distorted vegetable in any way shape or form.
