Two exciting anipal-related expos are scheduled in the United States for 2010!

BlogPaws

BlogPaws

Founded by Romeo the Cat‘s human Christina Cottini, BlogPaws inaugural expo is scheduled for Columbus, Ohio, from the 9th – 11th of April, 2010, and based on all of the interest it will surely become a yearly event. BlogPaws has created a fun environment where pet bloggers, brands and the online pet community can gather to network and explore learning, while also doing their part to support animal welfare. BlogPaws plans to donate a sizable portion of its proceeds to three rescue groups selected from nominations made by expo attendees. BlogPaws will have terrific keynote speakers that will share “how-to’s” to help you build your online traffic and readership, and provide numerous blogging tips and techniques; and will host a Pet Art silent auction, have live music and a real backyard barbecue for you to enjoy. BlogPaws welcomes pets and will have an on-site Pet Park where pets can experience some prime pampering for free; and the Westin Hotel, where the expo is being held, welcomes pets as well. The Westin Hotel, and The Hyatt on Capitol Square down the street from the expo, have extended a $99 rate for BlogPaws attendees. Whether you blog for your business, to raise awareness, for fund-raising, or just for the love of blogging, plan on attending this expo and network with passionate and wonderful pet people at BlogPaws!

BarkWorld

BarkWorld

Developed by Frankie Beans‘s human, Denise Quashie, BarkWorld is coming to Atlanta, Georgia, from the 20th to the 22nd of August, 2010, and is slated to be a social media conference and expo for the online pet community. BarkWorld will help educate pet owners, entrepreneurs, businesses and non-profits on how to successfully brand, market and manage Twitter, Facebook and other online applications. BarkWorld speakers include the “faces” behind some of the most famous anipal tweets and it will have an expo hall filled with local and national pet-care businesses focusing on products, services and non-profit associations. BarkWorld will host a charity fund-raising pet fashion show that will showcase the latest pet fashion and trends. Also, BarkWorld will have interesting demonstrations, a technology pavilion, social media educations, a lessons learned session, and offer fabulous networking opportunities in a “un-conference” setting. Denise explains, “The goal of BarkWorld is for pet owners and pet-related businesses to walk away with a new outlook on social media, learn tips and tricks that can be put in to action, and to help develop a sense of community for pet owners so that they have a better understanding of available products and services.” BarkWorld is still in the planning stages and plans to raise awareness for the expo by teaming up with charities to host “BarkUp Charity TweetUps,” so continue to check their website for updates. Also, if you’d like to present at, volunteer for, or attend BarkWorld, please contact BarkWorld!

Both of these expos sound like an enjoyable time for everyone, hopefully you’ll be able to attend one or both of these great events. If you have an animal related event that might be of interest to our readers, please contact MattieDog.
