Anipal Appreciation
Re: "Introducing The Anipal Times" 2010 April 3
Dear Editor-in-Chief Cokie,
I’d like to share a little something that sums up how we feel, in our home, about anipals/animals. My Mom recently had a dear friend pass away. She hasn’t had much experience in dealing with such a permanent loss before (thankfully), so she is making her own way with coping. Something she’s found to be of great comfort to her is the world of anipals on Twitter. Here’s what I overheard her saying to someone, as she was drying her wet eyes for the umpteenth time:
“It’s amazing how healing it can be to be a part of such a sweet, caring community like the Anipal World. I’m not exactly religious (I’d say I’m more spiritual than religious) but I can safely say that I truly feel blessed to have found anipals. If pets enrich our lives, then anipals amplify that enrichment, tenfold.”
We think that it’s so much more than just a bunch of people posing as critters – it’s about fun, frolic and friendship. Goodness knows the world can always use more of that!
Thank you for making The Anipal Times available as a source for everyone to utilize for anipal/animal related news, stories and more of that precious “fun, frolic and friendship”!
Warmest, Fuzzy Regards,
Mr. Bizbee Kitty

So very true Bizbee. It is a great group to be associated with. The anipals and their humans truly do care for one another in times of need.
Thanks oodles xo
Hi Bizbee! I couldn’t agree more about this amazing community. We’re sorry your staff is sad but glad she has YOU and a big support system online too! xoxo, R.
Thank you, Bizbee.
We obviously agree about the anipal community, and the love and support that can be found there. That’s why we’re so committed to you all and to The Anipal Times.
Thank you, Bizbee, for your work as a writer and editor, as well! As much comfort and love as you may feel you receive from the community, you give back and pay it forward.
Warmly,
Cokie
Thankies to you all for your kind words about my letter & for your good wishes for my Maw. She knows that loved ones passing is part of The Circle of Life. She and I both feel that the anipal community is most definitely The Circle of Love.
Cokie, my buddy, Man Cat Extraordinaire, thanks ever so much for your heartfelt message. Being a part of The Anipal Times is an absolute delight! Not only do I love writing & editing, but I thoroughly enjoy reading the fantabulous submissions from all of the talented writers (many thanks to their respective editors, as well!). It’s like a breath of fresh, bacon-scented air. ;o)
While Twitter does let us have real-time back & forth (albeit it’s only 140 characters, so we must be crafty!), nothing is better than being able to indulge in the full-length passages, on the AT, from the anipals (and our human “anipal friendlies”) that we’ve come to know, love and respect.
Cokie mentioned the act of “Pay It Forward”. If anyone has not seen that movie, rent it and watch it, straight away. Not only is it a great film, but the philosophy itself is really the key to making this world a better place for all of us – and that ain’t no hot air tootin’!
xo,
Bizbee >^..^<
